Yorkshire Equestrian Centre saddles up for expansion with funding from Barclays
Yorkshire Equestrian Centre has announced expansion plans with the purchase of its premises, which was supported funding from Barclays.
Established in 2007, Yorkshire Equestrian Centre is located at Laith Staid Lane, South Milford, Leeds.
The business operates a riding centre, provides horse riding tuition and training and also livery with purpose built stabling for 29 horses.
Owner Gemma Womersley provides coaching at novice, intermediary and advanced levels and has a number of horses.
Gemma said: “Running my own business and working with horses has always been my plan and I never imagined I would be able to purchase the premises and secure the future of the business so easily.
“Barclays and Platinum Money have both supported my business growth plans and I can now plan for the future with certainty taking the business to the next level. They both made the process simple and straightforward, with a personal tailor made feel to the whole deal.”
Yorkshire Equestrian Centre’s next phase of growth will look at increasing facilities to hold events and shows for the equestrian industry throughout 2017.
Mark Flanagan of Platinum Money Ltd worked with Phil Ackroyd, Barclays agricultural manager and Matthew Heaton, Barclays business development manager to put together the funding package for the deal.
Mark added: “It’s great to be able to support a local business that is thriving and expanding for the future.
“Gemma has a passionate team supporting her and has the knowledge, expertise and commitment to continue expanding the business and diversify into the events arena.”
