‘Turning point’ year delivers growth for Manchester-based Hello Soda
Big data and text analytics firm Hello Soda is celebrating after seeing its headcount and international footprint leap in 2016.
The Manchester-headquartered company grew its workforce from 15 to 33 people over the last 12 months, an increase of 120%.
The biggest growth was seen within the firm’s sales team, with numbers rising from three to 10 employees since the start of last year.
During the same period, Hello Soda also launched offices in Bangkok and Texas to accommodate what it called an “unprecedented” rise in demand for its services.
Hello Soda chief exec James Blake said: “2016 was a real turning point for the business. We’ve gone from being a small yet ambitious team in Manchester, to having a presence in three continents and delivering our services to companies across the globe, within just 12 months.
“As a business, we know how valuable good employees are, which is why we are dedicated to making our company a vibrant and enjoyable place to work.”
He continued: “I have been very proud to see Hello Soda go from strength-to-strength over the last year and this is testament to the creative, bright and technically skilled team we have established.
“I believe that big data is the future of every business and our aim is to continue to stay one step ahead when it comes to innovation. We have some exciting new services on the horizon and I’m looking forward to maintaining and building on this momentum in 2017.”
