Father and son duo launch North Leeds care business with support from the Lord Mayor of Leeds

A father and son have teamed up to open a business supplying a range of dedicated care services to people living in North Leeds.

Karun Heer and his father Manjinder have opened SureCare North Leeds to offer person centred care for the elderly and vulnerable, child care, home services and staffing solutions for care homes.

Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Gerry Harper officially opened the SureCare North Leeds franchise earlier this week.

The new business, which is based at Northside Business Park, is managed by Sue Lister who brings over a decade of care experience.

Cllr Harper said: “It’s fantastic to see businesses launching that not only bring jobs to the city but provide services to the most vulnerable people. I wish SureCare North Leeds every success in their business.”

A number of staff have already been taken on by the company and they are looking to recruit more people to the team over the next 12 months. Karun and Manjinder plan to roll out their services into the Harrogate area in 2017.

Karun, the business development and marketing manager, who graduated from Nottingham Trent University last summer, said: “My father and I are delighted to have opened a SureCare franchise in North Leeds. We come from a very family orientated background which is what makes our care offering that extra bit special.

“We have a growing team of care workers who work around the clock to ensure our clients receive the day-to-day help they need to maintain the highest quality of life.

“As a business, we pride ourselves on our high standards of care and in our charity work to engage with the local community. We recently helped to raise £4,000 for Marie Curie at a charity dinner dance.”

Manjinder added: “We are passionate about creating a customer centred service and giving the best possible care at all times.”

The new SureCare franchise offers regulated and non-regulated services including childcare and mobile crèches for events including weddings.
