Mi-IDEA Digital Health start-up event

Description

Are you a digital health start-up with growth potential, looking for the right partners and support services to take your business to the next level? Join us on the 1st March at Citylabs 1.0 to find out how you can be part of the new Mi-IDEA Innovation Centre.

What can you expect from the event?

Director of Connected Health Cities, Professor John Ainsworth, will be giving an overview of the Connected Health project and how it is using new intelligence sources to significantly accelerate business growth in the digital health sector in the North England.

The Greater Manchester Connected Health Cities Spin-in Lab within the Mi IDEA innovation centre is designed to build partnerships between industry, NHS, and the University of Manchester to accelerate the development of digital health technologies.

The lab will support companies to develop, test and validate digital health products and services using real world health data. Companies will have access to domain specific data analytics capabilities as well as expert advice on the design and development of their services.

Alongside John Ainsworth, Cisco UKI Business Development Manager, Matt Cooling, will be on hand to answer any questions you have about turning your great idea into a thriving business.

What is Mi-IDEA?

After the amazing success of its London post-accelerator centre, Cisco has partnered with Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) to create Mi-IDEA, a post-accelerator designed to foster and nurture digital innovation in the North of England. The centre is focussed on four key areas:

Digital Health

Digital Creative

Smart Cities

Internet of things

Located in the heart of Manchester’s Innovation District, Mi-IDEA will offer a targeted growth programme for post accelerator start-ups, focused on providing an empowering environment and fostering long term partnerships, where start-ups can grow in confidence and capability as they scale up from promising technology to sustainable business.

With collaboration at its core, Mi-IDEA will be a digital living lab, showcasing the very latest in collaboration technologies alongside the innovations of the companies in residence, providing an inspiring environment to spark innovation and a place where public, academic and private sectors can immerse themselves in the power of the possible and work together to transform their industries.
