Veteran digital executive founds new creative agency in Soho
The former Managing Director of innovation consultants Fjord and creative agency Ustwo has launched his own studio in Soho which he claims will help businesses with their digital breakthroughs and customer experience design.
Scott Ewings’ Big Radical will look to work with clients looking to get digital products to market quickly in what Ewings said will be a uniquely ‘collaborative environment’.
Drawing on his previous experience at the big-name innovation agencies, where he worked with the likes of BBC, Google and Telefonica, the digital stalwart has railed against ‘regressive agency structures’ which he believes hampers business innovation.
Outlining the ethos of his new firm, Ewings said: “There’s a lot wrong with our industry, not least its habit of creating noise and designing unhelpful products.
“Big Radical is about bringing talent and collaborators together to create a working network that enables businesses to ask better questions, learn fast, maintain momentum, break through orthodoxy and barriers and launch great digital products that make life better and happier.”
The new studio has been formed out of the existing design and development team at Monitise Create, which Ewings intends to complement with a new core leadership team and the expansion of its capabilities in the coming months which will create an entirely new entity.
The new firm has said it already collaborating with a raft of unnamed European brands and that, after already securing a Strategy and Innovation Director, Big Radical is looking to fill out its management team with a new Creative Director.
Ewings added: “I’m buzzing to get Big Radical rolling and I can’t wait to start conversations with anyone who shares my passion for leveraging digital technology to solve some seriously big challenges – and lots of smaller ones!”
