Boots creates 12 jobs with new ‘modern’ store in Leeds Bradford Airport
Boots UK has unveiled plans to launch a new store at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) later this month.
The new store will be open for business in the Airside Departure lounge from 22nd February 2017.
Boots UK is the first new national brand to be introduced at LBA for several years, and this new retail offer forms part of the airport’s overall terminal improvements taking place throughout the winter season in preparation for summer.
This includes new glass frontage and increased space landside, due to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The Boots store, which will create around 12 new jobs, is set to feature an extensive food and drink range, healthcare and suncare products, as well as toiletries and miniatures.
Darren Fussey, new store manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, Boots UK, said: “With our new and modern store, we really feel that we can make a difference to passengers travelling through Leeds Bradford Airport; not only from a healthcare and beauty perspective, but also by offering convenience for our customers like never before.
“We want to make sure our customers are totally prepared and protected, so travel healthcare, boots.com order and collect and the sun shop where customers can stock up on Boots Soltan will be incredibly important to us at the new store.”
The store will offer daily opening hours in line with the first and last flights from the airport.
Richard Aldridge, commercial manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, added: “As one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK, it’s imperative we offer a range of retail outlets for our passengers.
“In response to feedback from our customers, we are proud and pleased to see Boots opening their doors at LBA, introducing a new national brand.
“The new airside store will enable all our passengers to enjoy shopping or pick up last minute items before they fly away, either on leisure or business.”
