Waste management firm targets £7m turnover mark with York expansion

A national waste management company is set to expand after taking a five-year lease on premises in York.

BusinessWaste.co.uk works with companies and organisations to save money on waste collection, disposal and recycling services.

Launched by managing director David Adams 18 months ago, the company has moved from its Leeman Road site to Artemis House at Heworth Green, York.

Langleys Solicitors acted for BusinessWaste.co.uk on securing the five-year lease which sees the consultancy occupying the ground floor of the property on Eboracum Way.

David commented: “We’ve grown rapidly and now employ 40 staff with a turnover of more than £3m. Artemis House provides us with good quality, modern facilities with room for growth.

“We are looking to further expand in 2017 – we’re aiming to employ another 30 staff and are targeting turnover of £7m.”

BusinessWaste.co.uk uses independent and local authority providers to help businesses manage their commercial waste and recycling collections.

Tim Cross, head of commercial property at Langleys, said: “BusinessWaste.co.uk is proving to be a very successful business in a short space of time.

“We are pleased to have supported David and his team in the relocation to Artemis House as the company seeks to realise its growth ambitions.”
