Early morning focus on professional services

The Manchester office of national audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill has launched a new Breakfast Club.

The firm’s Professional Practices Group, which has extensive experience in working with lawyers, architects, actuaries and surveyors, is to run a series of round table workshops designed to increase awareness and understanding of financial issues affecting the sector.

The first, at Crowe’s offices in The Lexicon, Mount Street, is on Wednesday 8 February, will focus on assessing readiness for the tax year end in April.

Tax partner Rebecca Durrant said: “It is difficult for busy professionals to focus on their own affairs at times as they are so busy looking after others. In the first session, those attending will take away some simple planning ideas to help save tax and plan for their futures.”

The event, targeted on partners and the finance team, begins with registration and breakfast at 08:00. The session starts at 08.30 with networking and finish at from 09.30.

Other events in the pipeline are – Wednesday 26 April, an update on the recent tax changes for employers and impact; Tuesday 27 June, succession planning and what happens next for retiring partners, Wednesday 13 September, top tips foraccounting and finance; and Thursday 16 November, the induction process for new partners.
