Hazel Grove United Scores Fourth Year Hotel Sponsorship
Hazel Grove United Junior FC has secured a fourth consecutive year of sponsorship by the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow Hotel, enabling the Club to continue its work to make football coaching accessible to the young people from around the local area.
The team is made up of children aged under 13 years from the local area and plays in the award-winning Manchester Respect Junior Football League (www.respectleague.com), which promotes key standards of behaviour from both players and spectators. The league’s aim is to make football more fun and more competitive, but in a calm, safe and child-friendly environment. It also concentrates on long-term player development rather than short-term match wins, with the aim of building real confidence and commitment in its young players - both on the pitch and in life.
“I am thrilled we are sponsoring the team once again. I have seen first-hand over the last three years that the Hotel’s involvement has really helped the team to engage young people from our local community in sports” said hotel general manager John Scott.
He added: “I am continually impressed that whilst they each amazing football skills, the lessons learned on the pitch are invaluable to the children beyond football. Their excellent attitude towards other people and the community should be commended.”
