Orion Homes appoint head of land and planning
Housebuilder Orion Homes is supporting the next stage of its expansion with the appointment of Ged Collingwood as Land & Planning Manager.
Ged brings a wealth of experience gained through previous roles with various regional and national housebuilders, most recently in a similar position at Avant Homes. He will now be overseeing all aspects of land acquisition and development planning for potential sites ranging between 5 and 50 units.
Ged said: “I’m delighted to be joining Orion Homes, a highly respected name in Yorkshire with a reputation for excellence in design, construction and service. The management team has outstanding knowledge of the region and securing prime development land has always been one of the company’s key strengths. I look forward to supplementing that experience within my new role and we are now actively seeking land opportunities throughout Yorkshire for an ambitious development programme.”
Orion Homes has grown from modest beginnings to become one of Yorkshire’s largest privately owned house-builders. Orion Developments Ltd was founded by current Chairman Tim Lumb in 1978 and a year later began trading as Orion Homes. Orion Homes are currently building a wide variety of highly specified homes Horbury, Wrenthorpe and Wyke.
