Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Samsung is looking forward to launch Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on March 29, but these handsets will not be able to make it to India before the mid of April. However, this time it is not just about phones, it is about making things right so as to revive that lost trust after the Note 7 fiasco. It is no surprise that all eyes are on Samsung flagships and this is because 2017 is expected to be the year of redemption for the company.
Here, is a list of everything that have been making rounds on the Internet so far: Design
It is believed that Galaxy S8 will be about design. The company has eradicated the home button and used the extra space in order to expand the screen. With a 5.8 inch display, this new flagship is said to be thinner than the Galaxy S7 and is expected to be waterproof. On the other hand, the Plus variant will come with a 6.2 inch display. Talking about the resolution, both these phones will either come with a QHD (1440×2560 pixels) or a 4K resolution Super AMOLED display.
Camera
As per a recent patent filing, the Plus variant will come with a dual camera setup with a zoom lens, which can be seen in the iPhone 7 Plus. A report from Korean news agency showed no information on the megapixel count, but it may bring Autofocus capability as part of an improvement.
Battery and Price
Galaxy S8 is expected to have a similar size battery capacity of around 3000mAh, but more capacity would be needed for a similar backup. While the larger S8 Plus will possess a 3750 mAh. The 64GB model will be available at Rs. 59,000, whereas the 128GB will cost Rs. 63,000 approximately.
Processor and RAM
Both Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be equipped with the latest as well as the greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is believed that Snapdragon 835 is much faster than the Apple’s A10 chip which was used on iPhone 7,
On the other hand, two RAM variants, 4GB and 6GB have been reported, but 4GB model will be available in some selective European markets, but the 6GB variant will be available in numerous markets.
Internal Storage
The new Samsung Galaxy phones will pack at least 64GB of internal storage, but in Korea the company will debut only the 128GB variant. Both these two storage options will be available, which can be expanded to 256 GB or more through a microSD card.
Screen
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will have a 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch display respectively. Both these variants will have a curved Super AMOLED displays with Quad HD or 4K resolution, but it is highly unlikely as it will raise battery requirements to a great extent.
A close eye is on the rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, so keep checking back for any other information or updates.
