Ten Health & Fitness to flex in Fitzrovia with new gym
UK fitness business Ten Health & Fitness is to launch a gym in Fitzrovia after the burgeoning brand acquired a new site in London’s West End.
Located at a former office building on Great Titchfield Street, the 3,500 sq ft gym will encompass the ground and basement floors of the building along with an upper and lower ground floor mezzanine.
The HUT Architects-designed interiors will include studios fitted with glass to encourage natural light, along with the usual reception areas, retail and cafe facilities.
The building, which was recently acquired by Latitude Properties, also includes upmarket residential units on its upper floors.
Founded in 2007 by Joanne Matthews, Ten Health & Fitness promotes a holistic approach to health and fitness with a focus on small classes of ten or less with classes such as TenPhysio, TenBarre and TenHiit.
The site itself was sealed by London property agents, Shelley Sandzer, and Casey Phillips at the firm commented: “We are pleased to have secured this great new site in Fitzrovia for Ten Health and Fitness, bringing their unique approach to health and rehabilitation to the capital and furthering the Ten brand.
“The increasing vitality of the area is exemplified by this fantastic addition; sitting alongside some great recent additions to the street, including Mac and Wilde, Bonnie Gull and Foleys to name but a few, Ten is a prime example of how Great Titchfield Street and the surrounding area continues to evolve.”
Matthew added: “Shelley Sandzer carefully listened to our brief and in turn have succeeded in sourcing the perfect site.
“Acting on our behalf, they have ensured a smooth process throughout and we look forward to beginning the next stage of our expansion in Fitzrovia and growing our unique fitness brand.”
