Autodata Adds Motorcycle API to Developer Portal
Autodata has bolstered its developer portal with a new motorcycle API.
Through the TIBCO Mashery API management platform, the Autodata API delivery platform enables developers to integrate an extensive range of automotive and motorcycle data. The newly available motorcycle API allows developers to easily access and manipulate relevant data, such as lubricants and capacities, tightening torques, tyre pressures, repair times, diagnostic trouble codes, as well as many more technical specifications and even an estimate calculator.
Max Lienard, Head of Product and Market Development at Autodata Group, said: “The age of connected information is forthcoming, as the Internet of Things (IoT) becomes a reality. In every industry, none more so than in the automotive, talented developers have produced, and are still working on, industry-changing solutions. The automotive aftermarket, the segment of the automotive industry which serves all consumer needs after vehicles have been sold by the manufacturer, still has a high level of untapped technology potential.”
Whether users are looking to create a simple consumer application or a more complex business application, the Autodata API can be segmented into as much or as little information users require to develop their own application. Developers can access, select, and combine any Autodata vehicle service APIs, from repair times and replacement procedures to vehicle identification, service schedules, diagnostics, and much more.
Autodata’s APIs are designed to automatically update all technical data. Therefore, there is no need for developers to reintegrate with the Autodata API each time an API is updated. This structure also enables the Autodata API to continuously and efficiently evolve, reflecting the invariable evolution of the automotive industry.
