Turnover nears £10m at Beattie Communications after 'record year'
A PR agency which counts the Discovery Channel, Vue Cinemas and High Street TV amongst its clients has revealed ‘record’ financials for 2016 after enjoying health growth in profits and revenue.
London-headquartered Beattie Communications Group saw pretax profit jump by 6% to £624k last year, while turnover rose 7% to £9.3m on the back of a string of big-name client wins.
Headed up by Chief Executive Officer, Laurna Woods, the agency, which has its head office in Holborn along with a network of offices across the UK, has been operating for 31 years and provides services across digital, social, design and digital.
Following the firm’s bumper year, Woods commented: “The latest record figures were recorded after an unprecedented performance in 2015. They are, of course, particularly pleasing because 2016 was our 30th anniversary year.”
The business has previously worked on campaigns with the likes of European retailer La Redoute, The Edinburgh Woollen Mill and budget airline Jet2, and added Smiggle and Dairy Crest along with a raft of other new clients last year.
According to Woods, Beattie credits much of its success to the steady growth over the last decade as well as stability in its workforce.
She added: “Steady progress is what we aim for at Beattie and we have consistently achieved that goal over the past decade.
“Much of our success can be attributed to our strong and stable leadership team to which we recently added former Saatchi & Saatchi chairman Kevin Roberts and former Grayling CEO Alison Clarke.
“Stability is a common theme among all our people. Indeed, a fifth of our team has been with Beattie for a decade or more.”
