Apprentice winner to host workshop at first-ever Intuit small business event in the UK

US accounting software company Intuit is bringing its digital marketing workshop to London this March, and has recruited a former Apprentice winner to host a workshop at its first-ever UK conference.

The QuickBooks Connect conference, which is taking place at London Docks on 6-7 March, will be the first time the annual event will be coming to the UK following annual conferences in California for the last four years.

Bringing together entrepreneurs, small businesses and accountants, Intuit is hoping to invite hundreds of delegates for the two-day conference, and will feature keynote speeches from the likes of Alan Sugar, James Caan and Mary Portas.

Heading up a marketing workshop at the conference will be former Apprentice winner and digital marketing entrepreneur, Mark Wright, who since being crowned the show’s winner in 2014 has found significant success with his digital marketing business, Climb Online.

The firm, which is the most-successful company to grow out of the UK TV programme, revealed revenues of £4m last year after snagging clients including Groupon and Be Wiser Insurance.

Ahead of his appearance at the conference, Wright commented: “QuickBooks Connect is an extremely exciting conference for businesses worldwide, and I am both honoured and delighted to be taking part in first UK event.”

“The purpose of the conference is to help businesses grow and develop – which is exactly what I will support in my workshop. If implemented and managed correctly, digital marketing is one of, if not the most effective tools for growth and development no matter the size or sector your business operates in.”
