Pioneering machinery trading hub to improve deal success
A pioneering new cross-industry, price comparison trading hub for industrial machinery is aiming to help buyers and sellers cut the number of failed deals.
MachineCompare.com is set to revolutionise the way new and used industrial equipment is traded by helping buyers become better informed.
Unlike traditional listings sites, the innovative online marketplace lists machinery for a variety of industries, including price and specification, while a support services directory gives buyers the opportunity to determine the overall cost of purchase, covering factors such as shipping, insurance, dismantling and assembly. It also provides a free library of best practice, which offers essential information and advice, including purchasing guides, checklists, crib sheets, manufacturers’ brochures, and equipment manuals.
The idea is to provide buyers with all the information needed to make an informed purchasing decision and make them aware of full project costs before contacting the seller.
“Through MachineCompare.com, we’re aiming to change the way the world trades industrial machinery,” said co-director Eric Findlay. “We believe the site plugs a clear gap that exists for an all-in-one trading platform, helping buyers to create a clearer picture of the available options when purchasing industrial machinery.”
“This means buyers are more informed and that, in turn, helps to reduce the risk of sellers investing time and effort into deals that ultimately fall through. By drawing on our own sector expertise, we have been able to develop a service that meets a clear need by helping both buyers and sellers to overcome long-standing barriers to successful sales.”
Listings will cover a range of paper-based packaging, printing, corrugated cardboard and rubber and plastics manufacturing equipment on behalf of machinery agents, manufacturers, and independent businesses.
MachineCompare.com is a start-up business conceived by brothers Benjamin and Eric Findlay with the benefit of nine years of sector experience gained through their time at the helm of machinery broker CMC International.
The pair boast a strong understanding of the global machinery market and are aiming to share their insider knowledge of the purchasing process with users of MachineCompare.com.
