Barratt Homes Yorkshire West continues fundraising for KidsOut!

Barratt Homes Yorkshire West division is encouraging local businesses to dig deep and get involved in KidsOut’s event at Elland Road next week, to help raise vital funds for disadvantaged children.

The event is set to be the most successful yet, with all tables now sold, and guests can look forward to a black tie evening of entertainment, competition and networking at Leeds’ Elland Road on 2nd March, which will see over 850 people taking part in a fully interactive quiz based on the popular TV show, a Question of Sport, along with guest speeches from cricket stars Darren Gough and Ronnie Irani.

Each table will be designated as a football team, wearing the scarves of a well-known UK or European club as they compete for the top prize, whilst enjoying a champagne reception and a gourmet meal.

Barratt Homes Yorkshire West Managing Director and KidsOut’s local chairman, Ian Ruthven, and committee member Lisa Gamble, who also works at Barratt, are both supporting the event. All money raised from the evening will support KidsOut’s work to provide fun and positive experiences for children throughout the UK who are living in refuge, economic hardship or with other acute disadvantages.

Ian Ruthven, Managing Director at Barratt Developments’ Yorkshire West Division, and chair of the Kids Out Leeds committee commented:

“KidsOut is a wonderful charity and we’re thrilled to yet again be involved here at Barratt. Disadvantaged children within the Leeds region really benefit from the charity’s hard work, so I feel very proud to be apart of such a worthy cause. As always, the event evening is all set out to be a brilliant night and lots of fun, with a friendly but competitive atmosphere. The evening is set to be very special, especially with Darren Gough and Ronnie Irani attending as a guest speakers, so we hope we can get many local businesses involved in the fun!”

Gordon Moulds CBE, Chief Executive at KidsOut, commented:

“As always, we are holding this spectacular event up and down the country throughout the year. Attendance was brilliant at all the events last year, so if that is anything to go by, we’re in for a fantastic evening! We’re very grateful to everyone who has already bought tickets, there are still a few remaining left for the event so we’d encourage local businesses to snap them up before they are gone and show their support. Last year we raised another incredible record-breaking total of £111,098, which went towards helping disadvantaged children across Yorkshire. We’re hoping to top the total again this year!”
