Entrepreneurial couple to grow skincare brands nationally following Harvey Nichols ‘coup’
Husband and wife team Adam and Maxine Flint have set their sights on national growth following the launch of their first skin clinic inside Manchester’s Harvey Nichols.
The duo invested £100k in bringing the Flint + Flint branded clinic to the department store.
Described by Adam as the ‘anti-spa’, the site was designed by interiors firm Den Living and features dark colours, leather-panelled walls and Pop Art-inspired furniture.
Adam is a Nantwich entrepreneur with 10 years’ experience in the skincare business.
He partnered up with his wife to launch the Flint + Flint range in 2014 and today, the company’s 11 UK-made products are sold via its website in five countries, including Germany, Denmark and the US.
Flint + Flint Harvey Nichols launched in late 2016, but Adam and Maxine are already looking to roll the concept out nationally.
Adam, who also owns national clinic network Skin Health Spa, commented: “Opening our first Flint + Flint concept clinic in Harvey Nichols was a real coup.
“We had the infrastructure in place to open the doors quickly thanks to our Skin Health Spa business and felt that the Flint + Flint brand lent itself perfectly to the discerning Harvey Nichols audience.”
He added: “We can see our brands working in any town or city in the UK and are looking to help those wanting to set up their own business get a foot on the ladder by working with us.”
Adam and Maxine are encouraging prospective franchisees to open their own Flint + Flint or Skin Health Spa clinics.
The pair are currently developing an online system to provide franchisees with business, management and marketing training.
