Trio of new deals completed at Leeds city centre’s 12 Greek Street

A trio of new deals have been completed at the newly-refurbished 12 Greek Street in Leeds city centre.

12 Greek Street, formerly Aquis House, underwent a £2m transformation to create Grade A office space in the city, following its acquisition by London-based investment company Ricsion LLP from Northumberland Estates in 2015.

The Leeds offices of property consultancies Knight Frank and Carter Towler have secured the new deals, which sees three companies move into the building.

The companies moving into 12 Greek Street are ECSC, Troup Bywaters and Anders, and Pegasus Agriculture, which have taken a total of 3,577 sq ft. Rents are in the region of £22 per sq ft.

Elizabeth Ridler, partner with Knight Frank in Leeds, commented: “We are delighted to be able to announce these three lettings.

“They are a superb endorsement of the quality of the refurbishment which has created a truly sought-after product in a size bracket that is traditionally characterised by inferior accommodation.

“It’s modern, fashionable aesthetic sets it apart from its competitors. The new occupiers will enjoy a building which enhances, encourages and rewards the hard work of employees, offering a wonderful office environment to meet, entertain and develop ideas with clients.”

Sam Jamieson of Knight Frank added: “The stunning transformation of 12 Greek Street has brought the building up to Grade A office standard and will capitalise on the demand for high-quality stock in the city.

“The superb refurbishment comes at a time when the immediate area is being transformed with new bars and restaurants, together with the Dakota hotel. An exceptional number of amenities are now available in the vicinity.”

Phil Shopland-Reed of Carter Towler commented: “Pegasus Agriculture loved the clean lines and modern feel to the offices which will provide an attractive environment for the company. The provision of small power and plug-and-play data were also a large draw of the building.”

12 Greek Street has also received a boost with the opening of The Lost & Found restaurant on the ground floor, part of the Revere Pub Company, which is a division of Marstons PLC.
