Buzzoole fly flag for Italian startups at Accenture ConsumerTech Awards
Influencer marketing platform Buzzoole has finished in the top three of the Millennial Consumer category at this year’s Accenture ConsumerTech Awards in New York. Buzzoole, the only Italian company to qualify, was also among 12 finalists chosen to pitch to a panel of judges ahead of the awards.
The ConsumerTech Awards took place at this year’s Millennial 20/20 Summit in New York, where Accenture is the main sponsor. The awards recognize and reward early-stage innovators that are pushing the boundaries to better engage with the millennial consumer across the Automotive, Consumer Goods & Services, Retail and Travel industries.
The nod follows Buzzoole’s recent funding round, which raised $830,000 through convertible note funding. The round was led by international venture fund Impulse VC with co-investment from Swiss technology venture firm R301 Capital.
Buzzoole opened its London office – a first step in its overseas expansion – in early 2016. In April it was selected to join the UK Trade and Investment’s Global Entrepreneur Programme, and at the tail-end of 2016, also shortlisted for the Unilever Next Big Thing award.
Fabrizio Perrone, CEO and co-founder, Buzzoole, said: “After starting the year on a high, with our $830k funding injection, being recognised by Accenture in this category is yet more validation of what Buzzoole is doing. With our eyes set on further international expansion, global events like this are exactly where we want to be. “
