Didsbury-based recruitment firm looks to San Francisco for international expansion
North West recruitment company Finlay James has unveiled plans to open its first ever US office.
Launching in Spring 2018, the firm’s new base in San Francisco will strengthen its services for clients operating across the Atlantic.
Didsbury-based Finlay James focuses on recruitment services for roles in IT sales and the digital sector.
Commenting on the expansion, the company said the decision follows a 72% uplift in US placements year on year, with that number continuing to rise.
San Francisco was chosen, Finlay James explained, after a recent trade delegation it attended shed light on the city’s flourishing tech industry and high jobs growth.
The new office will be led by Finlay James’ business development director, Nick Guy. Nick was also responsible for the firm’s expansion last October into Moorgate, London.
In August 2016, the company underwent a management buyout in which former joint MD John Gaughan purchased 100% of the shareholding with Sara Gaughan, who took on the role of HR director.
