Manchester’s Penketh Group and OBI Property deliver new space for cyber firm NCC Group

Office furnishing company Penketh Group has helped create new office space for North West cyber security firm NCC Group.

The Manchester-based business was commissioned to deliver the fit-out of additional floor space at NCC Group’s office in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Commercial designers OBI Property and Penketh won the tender to enhance the two open-plan floors with more flexible desking solutions and breakout areas.

NCC Group, which is headquartered in Manchester but employs 2,000 people across more than 35 offices globally, called for a design that would enable its growing workforce to operate more collaboratively.

Penketh Group sales director Paul Mann said: “We were delighted to work with NCC Group on this project to help them create a forward thinking and dynamic workplace for their staff.

“It was crucial that the renovation work happened around their staff with as little disruption as possible. We achieved this by moving departments only when we needed to and carrying out staged installations.”

He continued: “We provided a blend of cutting edge furniture solutions across all areas of the office from height adjustable desking and supportive seating to relaxing breakout and work café areas. The project was delivered on budget and within a four-month timeframe.”

Working alongside OBI Property, the Penketh team carried out the installation across five stages, moving NCC’s departments one at a time to keep disruption to a minimum.

Penketh’s remit included the installation of state-of-the-art sit/stand desks, bespoke power towers and a work café area.

OBI Property’s head of workplace consultancy and interior design, Andrew Crompton, commented: “The Penketh Group were extremely approachable and professional from beginning to end.

“From working with the design and development team in the showroom to develop the design and specification, all the way through to the install team whose attention to detail on site was invaluable.”

“We wanted to create a space that would inspire employees while also providing suitable areas for them to relax and recharge their batteries.”
