Aycliffe firm creates 10 new jobs to match £750k warehouse expansion
Stiller Warehousing and Distribution has announced plans to add new staff to its newly-expanded premises at Aycliffe Business Park.
Costing £750k, the expansion saw the distribution business complete a new 40,000 sq ft warehouse at its 20-acre site on the park.
The family-run firm, which employs 138 people in total, is creating 10 new jobs in turn to match the furthering of its warehouse capabilities.
Stiller reported a turnover of just under £12m at the end of 2016, which MD Matthew Stiller says was a strong financial result for the company formed more than 60 years ago.
The new warehouse takes Stiller’s recent investments in equipment, people and property to more than £6.4m in the last three years.
Matthew said: “We’re on the look-out for keen and able warehouse staff to support some new clients that we have planned to occupy this new unit.
“It’s another exciting development for us after a number of significant investments over the last two to three years as the business has grown steadily.”
