Doncaster contractor secures £27m of new business in ‘best ever’ start to a year
A Doncaster-based mechanical and electrical contractor has reported its ‘best ever’ start to the year, after winning more than £27m worth of new business.
Mechanical Facilities Limited (MechFS) has started 2017 by securing new contracts with major brands including Travelodge, Hilton and Aldi.
The family-run firm, which has its headquarters in Beckingham, has also opened a new Sheffield office on Fox Valley Way along with the appointment of two new staff.
Paul Firch, managing director at MechFS, said: “We’re thrilled to have got 2017 off to such a strong start – it’s the best beginning to a year we’ve ever had.
“Since the business started almost a decade ago, we’ve grown considerably and now work with some of the most well-known brands in the world.
“In the last 18 months alone, we’ve created an additional 30 jobs in the South Yorkshire region, taking us to 80 employees and apprentices across the UK.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our success into 2017 and beyond, providing more employment and training opportunities for the people of South Yorkshire as we continue to develop our technical base here at both our headquarters in Doncaster and our new office in Sheffield.”
As well as its Doncaster headquarters and new Sheffield office, MechFS also has a Midlands office in Solihull.
