Four Ideas To Generate Real Results on Social
Social media is loud, its noisy and competition is fierce. How can you make yourself heard above the chatter?
As a business, you must engage with your customers and potential customers in an over stimulated society.
And, despite my love of Gifs, you’re not there to just entertain, you must provide fresh, relevant, and timey content.
So here are four tips on how to get started on making your brand heard…
Create Useful Content
Don’t just stick to the same content, the same picture and same format day in day out. Ask your audience questions, add a poll, link to articles, videos. You’re not boring…your audience isn’t either.
Craft useful content, that people are inclined to share with others in their company, industry connections and on their social networks. Educational content is often very successful.
Humour has its place also, it is one of the easiest, instinctive ways to trigger emotion.
If you can make someone laugh or cry you’re tapping into your audiences genuine emotions…think John Lewis at Christmas.
Social Listening
If you can create content that illustrates what is important to you audience, you will find success. Practice social listening.
Social listening is the process of tracking conversations around specific phrases, words or brands, and then leveraging them to discover opportunities or create content for those audiences. It’s more than watching @mentions and comments pour in via your social profiles, mobile apps or blogs.
Images Speak Louder than Words
37% of marketers said visual marketing was the most important form of content for their business, second only to blogging at 38%.
If you don’t have a big file of images for your business yet fret not there are amazing free tools out there that can help you on your way to great visual marketing!
Canva is a great one! Its simple to use and has a stock library of professionally designed layouts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more!
Adobe Spark is another that stands out. You can create impactful social graphics, web stories and animated videos with Spark’s free graphic design app.
Finally, be the Celebrity Expert in your Field
Post valuable information that makes you the expert in the industry. For example, if you’re a owner of a gym share information on the fitness industry, new equipment, new trends, exercises, etc etc.
The best clients and customers are those that seek you out because they’ve already heard of you so start planting the seed.
