Knutsford School wins ICT equipment at education show

Knutsford Academy, a secondary school based in the Cheshire town recently attended Europe’s leading education technology event, BETT, at Excel in London.

The school was keen to discover the latest technology in the education market and establish what equipment they could potentially invest in to ensure the school provides students with the best opportunities possible.

Whilst at the show, Steven Atkinson, ICT Manager at Knutsford Academy visited the ICT Direct stand to gain a better understanding of the quality of refurbished ICT equipment for schools.

Steve was extremely impressed with the quality of the equipment ICT Direct were demonstrating, which ranged from PCs, laptops and storage solutions. He realised quickly that the equipment was of a very high standard and from major manufacturers such as Dell and HP, and offered huge savings on the original price.

Steve took part in ICT Direct’s competition whilst on the stand and was later delighted to discover the school had won an Origin 120GB Solid State Drive, which will substantially increase the speed of the computer it is put in and make it more robust, which of course is hugely beneficial in a school environment.

They also won a SafeToGO Encryted USB Drive, a hardware encrypted USB3 portable flash drive that protects sensitive data.

Steve commented, “We’re delighted to win this equipment. Knutsford Academy is determined to provide the highest standard of ICT facilities for our students. The curriculum is continually developing, with the need for fast, reliable and robust ICT equipment becoming greater and greater. The refurbished equipment from ICT Direct would potentially allow us to buy the kit we require at incredibly competitive prices.”
