Leeds event technology firm creates 11 new jobs with £3m investment

Ticket Arena and Event Genius are creating 11 new jobs as part of a £3m investment into the business.

The Leeds-based event technology company, which has just launched the new Ticket Arena app on iOS, is also preparing for the launch of a new consumer website.

The company, which supplies event technology solutions to over 5,000 events every year across the UK, Europe and Asia, recorded over £50m worth of sales through its online platform in 2016.

Reshad Hossenally, managing director of Ticket Arena and Event Genius, said: “With the £3m investment into the business and the new site well underway, it’s a seriously exciting time to be at the company and these new jobs are an indicator of our ambitions.”

“Our new business development roles signal our intent to increase our presence in the European events market, while the additions we plan to make to our already talented team of in-house developers and designers will enable us to improve our Event Genius platform and deliver the innovations that we have in pipeline.”

In 2008, founder and director Reshad Hossenally started Ticket Arena to provide consumers and gig-promoters with a better way to buy and sell tickets online.

The company has now developed its own online platform called Event Genius, and increased its market share to become one of the largest online ticket agents and event technology providers in the UK.
