Dutch tech firm to create 20 jobs with first UK base at MediaCity

Dutch education tech firm Prowise is investing in the UK with the launch of its first division outside the Netherlands.

The company will create around 20 jobs with a new 2,500 sq ft office in The Greenhouse at MediaCityUK, with roles covering sales, marketing, customer service and admin.

Prowise has been working with the UK’s education sector since 2013, providing technology such as personal devices, lesson software and touch screens.

The firm’s UK team, led by director Matt Daly, will comprise nine education specialists ready to visit schools all over the country and offer product demonstrations.

Matt said: “Establishing Prowise UK in Manchester is a massive step for the company but we have real confidence in the UK market. The product is already relatively well known here but, through this move, we are aiming to grow our market share.

“When choosing a location, MediaCityUK stood out for us because of its strong links with both the technology and education sectors.”

He added: “Whilst we are currently a small startup company, we anticipate fast growth and need a flexible and creative space to accommodate this, so The Greenhouse is the perfect place for us to achieve this.”

As part of its recruitment drive, Prowise UK is currently seeking lead generators to join and manage its expanding sales team, as well as a technical support engineer to help customers with its technology.
