Export award hat-trick for Vernacare
Bolton-based medical products supplier Vernacare has won the Medilink North West Export Achievement Award for the third time.
The single-use Vernacare System of hygienic patient toileting and washing is used by healthcare facilities across 48 countries and 5 continents – to reduce infection risk, save nurses’ time, improve environmental performance, save energy and reduce costs.
Matt Miller, Chief Executive for Vernacare, said: “It’s a huge honour to win this award for the third time. The benefits of our system are being realised across the globe, where we are helping address the global priorities of infection prevention and greener, cleaner healthcare.
“In recent years we have opened up new markets in Europe, South East Asia, and India, where, during a recent trade mission led by the UK Prime Minister, we announced a major deal with one of Asia’s largest healthcare management groups.”
This latest award win follows Vernacare’s recent recognition as High Growth Exporter of the Year in the inaugural Northern Powerhouse Export Awards.
Vernacare will go forward to compete against the UK’s best exporters of medical technology and life science products in the Medilink UK Awards final this April.
