IT firm launches new charity drive

They normally deal with drives of the computer variety, but a team of staff at Taylor Made Computer Solutions are preparing to pick up their drivers as they launch a new charity golf event.

The IT firm is organising an annual charity golf day in aid of Wessex Heartbeat and hopes the event will become a firm fixture in Hampshire’s golfing calendar.

The inaugural Taylor Made Computer Solutions Golf Day will take place on September 17 at the new Boundary Lakes Golf Course at the Ageas Hilton. It will mark one of the first opportunities for people to try out the par 69 parkland course and the first charity golf day to be held there.

Those who take part can expect to rub shoulders with some well-known faces too, with a number of celebrities interested in picking up their clubs and getting involved.

The Taylor Made charity golf day will also feature a gala dinner in the evening, with live music entertainment from popular band Rufus Stone.

Nigel Taylor, managing director of Taylor Made Computer Solutions, said: “We’re full of ambition when it comes to business and we’re exactly the same when it comes to charity. We’re pulling out all the stops to make the golf day a huge success and hope to grow it into one of the biggest and best charity golf days in the South in years to come.”

John Munro, chief executive of Wessex Heartbeat, said: “We’re very excited to be the beneficiary of Taylor Made’s new golf day and gala dinner. There’s already been a great deal of interest in the event, with golfers keen to be among the first to explore the new course at the Hilton Ageas.”
