Leeds event technology firm launches new app and website as part of £3m investment

Ticket Arena, the Leeds-based event technology company, has launched a new iOS app and revamped website as part of a £3m expansion programme.

Built by Event Genius, the company’s team of event technology developers, the Ticket Arena app and website bring together event listings for thousands of club nights, gigs and festivals into one online service.

The newly designed website operates at a faster speed and includes improved hubs for location, venues and brands.

The app allows fans to further personalise their browsing experience by saving custom filters that suit their own individual tastes.

Both the app and website are powered by the company’s online platform, also called Event Genius, which organisers and promoters use to add event listings and sell tickets.

The launch of the new site and app will be supported by a nationwide advertising campaign that will feature the company’s new consumer branding and is part of a £3m programme of expansion across the business.

Earlier this month, the company announced plans to create eleven new jobs as part of the same expansion programme.

Reshad Hossenally, managing director of Ticket Arena and Event Genius, said: “Our beautiful new app and website are amazing services that we’re proud to provide to fans.

“They’re fast, secure and make it easy to discover and buy tickets to live events near you, representing a new era on which we intend to build.”

“In the coming months we’ll be launching the app on Android and adding even more functionality, including Apple and Android Pay, as we continue to create even more personal and tailored ways to make sure you never miss out on tickets for your favourite artists, gigs or club nights.”

The company, which supplies event technology solutions to over 5,000 events every year across the UK, Europe and Asia, recorded over £50m worth of sales through its online platform in 2016.
