Newcastle firm Building Surveyors targets North West growth with Manchester expansion

A Newcastle-headquartered multi-disciplinary chartered surveyors has launched an office in Manchester as part of a wider UK expansion plan.

Building Surveyors Ltd has moved into Barnett House on Fountain Street and taken on a new senior building surveyor to manage the office’s client portfolio.

The firm said the expansion will stimulate further growth and enable it to offer North West clients services such as party wall advice, expert witness, dilapidation advice, project services and building surveys.

Founded in 2003, Building Surveyors’ consultancy services include fire risk assessments, access audits, Disability Discrimination Act advice and residential property services.

The firm’s director, Chris Jude, is one of three Conservation Accredited Surveyors in the North East and also serves as the North East regional chairman of the Faculty of the Party Wall Surveyors.

He said of the expansion: “As a multi-disciplinary surveying firm and family-run business, we pride ourselves on taking the time to understand the needs of our clients and offering them the best solutions and advice.

“This approach has clearly worked, accelerating our growth over the past few years in the North East and further afield.”

He added: “Having a base in Manchester will not only help to maximise the opportunities available in the North West area, but also allow clients based there to have easier access to our range of services.”

Gareth Holmes, the senior building surveyor appointed to support the move, is expecting to recruit for two graduate positions in the coming months.

Speaking further, Chris said: “We’re delighted to welcome Gareth to the team. His expertise in surveying combined with his knowledge of the local property markets and contacts will be invaluable as we continue to build our presence in Manchester and the surrounding area.”
