After closing its $10m Series A last week, this Italian automotive firm is opening a new London HQ
Following on from the closure of its $10m Series A round at the end of last week, digital automotive firm MotorK has revealed that it is putting plans in place to launch its London headquarters this year following the recent funding injection.
The business, which has its headquarters in Milan, closed its initial round of significant funding with backing from 83North and Zobito following expansion into major European markets including Spain, France, Germany and the UK.
Specialising in a range of digital products and services within the automotive sphere, including its new car marketplace DrikeK, its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform DealerK, and its automotive event network Internet Motors, the automotive tech company has signalled its plans to move into new markets and further developing its offering in Europe.
With this in mind, MotorK has said it will firm up its presence in the UK with the opening of a new London headquarters ‘in the coming months’ and has plans to embark on a recruitment drive ‘across all disciplines’, including sales, human resources, marketing and business development. Exact headcount has not been announced nor has the prospective location of their new HQ.
Following the closure of last week’s funding round, Marco Marlia, MotorK’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer said: “We are thrilled to announce our Series A round of funding.
“After significant expansion across Europe, MotorK has established itself as one of the key players offering technology, guidance and digital knowledge to the motor trade and this funding will help us to realise our vision to become the European leader.
“Initial steps will include expanding our team in London and adding more tools to our suite of products available to auto dealers and manufacturers.”
