43 acre Bamburgh holiday park snapped up
Leisure and residential operator Maguires Country Parks has acquired a 43 acre holiday park in Bamburgh, Northumberland, worth a reported £5.5m.
A family-run operator of sites across Northumbria, North Yorkshire and County Durham, Maguires has set aside over £1m to invest in modernising and updating the area.
Formerly known as The Kaims Bamburgh, the land is located only two miles from Bamburgh and is presently developed with 240 pitches. A new development to add 48 new luxury caravan pitches will reportedly commence in the near future.
Billy Maguire, owner of Maguires Country Parks, commented: “The Kaims Bamburgh site is a fantastic opportunity for our luxury holiday park brand.
“The site’s location and surroundings are perfectly suited to help us deliver our aim of providing beautiful, peaceful and relaxing Country Parks in first class destinations.
“We have already allocated in excess of £1.25m of capital expenditure in order to develop new pitches, improve service infrastructure and to enhance the park for new and all existing caravan owners.”
Adam Burkinshaw, specialist agent at Sanderson Weatherall, which sold the site, added: “We are delighted to have sold this fantastic site to Maguires Country Parks. It will undoubtedly be a fantastic addition to their existing portfolio of Country Parks.”
