LBE 2017 smashes previous years’ success
Lancashire Business Expo hosted at Preston Guildhall on 24th March completely smashed the success of all previous years. The event attracted just over 2,500 business visitors, making it undeniably the biggest and most successful event in Lancashire.
Social media statistics showed the event trending on Twitter in the UK, holding second place most of the day sandwiched between Red Nose Day and Comic Relief.
Feedback from exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive with many finding it a great opportunity to engage with potential customers, cement relationships with existing clients and make strategic alliances with other businesses.
First time exhibitor, Vista Employment Services were delighted with the event. Grace Bennett, Employment Law Consultant, commented, “The Expo far outweighed our expectations. We have recently opened a new office in Blackpool and this was the perfect opportunity for us to meet prospects in Lancashire. We engaged with a number of businesses who were keen to understand our employment law service and learn about our flexible approach to helping employers. Being able to meet so many decision makers under one roof was tremendous.”
Visitors were equally captivated with what the Expo had to offer and some described it as having a “carnival” feel, where it was much easier to approach businesses and connect with them.
The Shout Team who organised the event, commented, “The figures speak for themselves. We had over 2,500 business visitors and 160 exhibitors along with a large waiting list, we trended on twitter in the UK and had an absolute reach of 26 million on Twitter. Our aim was to provide an environment where Lancashire businesses came together to celebrate their success, show off their wares, collaborate with like-minded organisations and grow their businesses, and we believe we achieved that. Many exhibitors were so delighted they’ve already signed up for next year’s Expo.”
Thousands of pounds worth of prizes were given away at the Expo ranging from VIP Spa days to medical health checks, hampers, corporate hospitality days, photo panels, champagne and so much more. Bowker BMW were giving away a BMW for the weekend and the lucky winner was Chris Jaegerossa.
Next year the Lancashire Business Expo will be part of a much larger business festival for Lancashire. Further details will be announced soon. For more information or to secure your space at the 2018 Expo contact Ian Coupe on 01772 642830.
