Esh Group secures £4.5m in new contracts across South Yorkshire
Esh Group, the construction and building services firm, has secured £4.5m in new contracts across South Yorkshire.
The raft of wins includes projects for Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Housing Association.
Esh has been appointed to design and build 20 new timber-framed homes with associated works at Mortimer Road in Maltby. The building project has a 34-week timeframe starting in April.
Following a tendering process, Esh Group will also undertake two projects for Sheffield City Council.
The first is the full refurbishment and upgrading of the medico - legal centre in Upperthorpe, including the refurbishment and upgrade of courtrooms and post-mortem suites. The project is due to commence earlier March and complete late November 2017.
The second scheme is a two-phase construction and conversion scheme at Aldine House Secure Children’s Centre in Dore.
The works, which are due to commence this month and complete by Christmas 2017, will see the construction of an extension to the existing building and conversion works creating a space for visitors and staff which will include new meeting and training rooms, sleepover areas, a medical facility and conveniences.
John Davies, managing director of Esh Construction, said: “This is a positive start to 2017. We have a great track record for successful project delivery in South Yorkshire and these schemes will allow us to demonstrate one of our key strengths - the breadth of our multi-discipline offer.”
The Yorkshire operation employs 250 people in everything from civil engineering and building to commercial and residential property development.
