Former DHL sales director launches Liverpool-based Surge Consulting Ltd
A former sales director for international delivery firm DHL has established his own supply chain and logistics sales consulting company.
From its base in Liverpool, Surge Consulting Ltd will aim to help small- to medium-sized freight and supply chain companies grow and become more efficient.
Neil Kinnear, the brains behind the new venture, is confident that businesses in the sector are still looking to develop, despite wider market uncertainty as the UK prepares to leaves the EU.
He said: “During the first half of my career I spent time working in different types of operation from managing depots to contract logistics to warehouses.
“I firmly believe that you cannot sell supply chain solutions to customers unless you understand them first.”
Speaking further, Neil explained how he has spent the last 10 years specialising in sales and development, running sales teams that sold “often complex logistical solutions but always [focused] on the core values of the product portfolio.”
Surge Consulting’s services will cover sales strategy, sales growth, customer portfolio development and sales audit, along with general project support on an interim basis.
Neil added: “I am really excited to be offering this kind of service on the market.
“My approach is to complement the positives in a company and work with them in achieving their sales goals.”
