Over 100 new clients for Stockport accountants Hallidays following acquisition
North West accountancy firm Hallidays has given its customer pool a significant boost with the acquisition of Hazel Grove-based Edmondson & Co.
Following the transaction, Edmondson & Co boss Paul Edmondson joined the Stockport-based company, bringing with him a portfolio of more than 100 small and medium-sized clients.
As part of a Hallidays team led by director Valerie Wain, Paul will work closely with family-owned companies and source financial opportunities for both individuals and SMEs.
Valerie said: “Paul has been closely linked with Hallidays for some time through our ‘Accountants Support Forum’, which supports sole practitioners so he was an excellent fit for Hallidays.
“I welcome the knowledge and expertise he will bring to our team.”
Paul said he welcomes Hallidays’ culture of growth and support, commenting: “After much consideration I recently made the decision to retire from full-time work.
“I have considered the future of the practice with a view to merging with a local firm, who could offer a professional service, with the additional support that would be beneficial to both clients and myself.”
He continued: “I have known Hallidays over a number of years initially through their Accountants Support Forum and they greatly assisted me whilst I was seriously ill in 2011/12 and I feel that they are an ideal choice.”
