York's Autohorn Group invests in Bristol waste management business

Autohorn Group, the York-based vehicle rental and leasing specialist, has invested in waste management company, ASL Environmental.

The group chose to invest in the Bristol-based, £2.7m company as part of its on-going strategy to expand its business portfolio.

The investment in ASL also follows on from the Autohorn establishing a national waste management business in 2015, bringing 40 new jobs to the city having grown to a turnover of £3.4m.

This announcement marks the group’s intention to reinvest in the waste and recycling industry.

ASL Environmental currently services businesses in Bristol, Bath and Weston-Super-Mare.

The Autohorn Group has chosen to invest in ASL Environmental after seeing the potential to capitalise on the environmentally sustainable credentials of the business and drive turnover to £10m in the next 10 years.

David Adams, a director of the Autohorn Group, has over 15 years’ experience in waste management and has spearheaded this investment.

He said: “We are delighted to have invested in ASL Environmental. The company shares our core values and is a highly regarded business within the South West with an excellent reputation for customer service and innovation in environmental sustainability.

“We hope that our investment and expertise will take the business to the next level by developing its use of technology which will further enhance its service and customer base.”

The Autohorn Group includes a number of national and York-based companies including Autohorn Fleet Services, which is based on Leeman Road.
