Google names Teesside agency as one of five firms to spearhead mobile initiative
Google has selected Teesside-based Mabo Media as one of five agencies to spearhead its new mobile initiative, the Mobile Vanguard Program.
As a premier Google partner Mabo, which designs, builds and manages pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, will be given access to unrivaled support from Google and its development team to help clients improve things from mobile page speed to improved usability.
In 2010 only 10% of Google searches were made on a mobile device, but in 2015 mobile searches actually surpassed desktop searches for the first time.
Google says it has developed its Vanguard program to help retailers improve their mobile performance to keep up with customer demand - something Mabo has been very proactive in doing.
Lee Mableson, Managing Director at Mabo Media, said: “First of all as an agency we are immensely proud to be selected to be one of the five agencies spearheading the mobile Vanguard program, especially when you see who the other agencies are who have been selected are.
“It goes to show how far Mabo Media have come in our four years. but also it is fantastic news to a lot of our clients as we will be able to keep them ahead of the competition when it comes to advancing through mobile search on Google.
“This will keep our clients at the forefront of any PPC innovation and development and is something we absolutely pride ourselves upon”
Dani Burlacu, agency development manager at Google, added:“Mabo Media as an agency have been fantastic to work with, especially when we have been discussing the potential growth for their clients through mobile.
“Their proactive approach to support their clients through this market change has been second to none. That is why we have hand selected Mabo Media along with 4 other market leading agencies to lead this program”
