Avant Homes unveils plans for £14m Waverley development in Rotherham

Avant Homes unveils site plans and designs at its new £14m development at Waverley in Rotherham.

More than 100 interested buyers visited Sorby Row at the official sales launch to find out more about the first four house designs that will be built at the development.

Visitors were able to have their pick of the best plots and a reservation was taken on the first home.

The four-acre development of 61 new homes is located on the northern perimeter of the Waverley New Community, between Sheffield and Rotherham and forms part of the next phase of the 750-acre regeneration project by Harworth Estates.

Sorby Row will comprise a mixture of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached properties all innovatively designed for modern living. Current prices start at £279,995 for a four-bedroom home.

“The response we’ve had to Sorby Row at such an early stage in the development process is excellent and demonstrates the strong appetite for quality new homes in this area.

The masterplan for the 740-acre site includes 3,890 new homes with shops, a health centre, parks and schools, to create a new residential and business community within a lakeside setting.

Groundworks at Sorby Row are underway and construction of the development is due to start in April 2017 with the first homes ready for occupation in September 2017. The overall build is expected to take two years.
