Historic Royal Residence Announces Coghlans at Rudby Hall

Former royal residence Rudby Hall has reinforced its reputation as Yorkshire’s most luxurious private venue for extended weddings, prestigious events and private hire with the appointment of opulent fine dining specialist Coghlans at Rudby Hall.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the five-star hospitality industry the Richmond-based business, led by Janet and Andrew Coghlan, has been named the country hall’s butler service.

The appointment at Rudby Hall - built in 1838 for the daughter of King William IV, Lady Amelia Cary and her husband the 10th Viscount Falkland – is part of the award-winning venue’s personal and bespoke commitment to its guests.

Together with their personal house butler, bridal couples and private event hosts are encouraged to design and create a dining experience tailor-made exclusively to their tastes and preferences; in addition to every other detail of their stay and occasion with the Rudby Hall team.

The Grade II* listed country home, which is privately owned and managed by Sandra and Martin Johnson, is nestled within ten acres of secluded grounds overlooking the North York Moors, close to the village of Hutton Rudby.

Sandra Johnson, said: “We are delighted to announce Coghlans at Rudby Hall and are particularly proud to be working with another Yorkshire family business that is a celebrated leader in the luxury hospitality industry.”

“Our guests are encouraged to indulge in true luxury, with complete freedom to make Rudby Hall their perfect home-away-from-home whilst staying with us or celebrating an exquisite occasion, such as a wedding over an extended wedding weekend or for several midweek days.”

Since opening to the public for the first time in its 180-year history in 2014, following a meticulous conversion, the 13-bedroom country home has received global recognition for its consistently high standards as a TripAdvisor Service Excellence winner for Hospitality.

Andrew Coghlan, said: “We are delighted to bring our hospitality experience to Rudby Hall and are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship. Together, our exquisite standard of service and impeccable attention to detail will ensure guests enjoy a luxurious experience, personally bespoke to them.”
