Together announces sponsorship of Sale Sharks
Specialist lender Together has announced its partnership with premiership rugby team Sale Sharks for next season, in a two-year deal that will run until June 2019.
Based in Cheadle, South Manchester, Together offers a wide range of finance including residential, commercial and buy-to-let mortgages, short-term finance, auction finance and secured loans, working primarily through brokers and intermediaries. With more than 500 employees, it has been named as one of the fastest-growing companies in the North West.
Marc Goldberg, Together’s commercial CEO, said: “As we continue to grow our business, creating more jobs and increasing our channels of distribution, it’s important that we increase our brand awareness and we’re delighted to be teaming up with Sale Sharks as we set out on this exciting new chapter.
“We share many core values, such as teamwork and respect, with a focus on striving to deliver the best possible outcome, and feel that there is a really positive synergy in our working together. Sale Sharks are acknowledged as one of the leading rugby union clubs in Europe and are a credit to the North West, so we’re very much looking forward to becoming their sponsor for the next two seasons and are confident it will be a winning combination.”
Mark Cueto, Sale Sharks’ commercial director and a former English international rugby union player added: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Together and look forward to seeing their name on our kit from September. Theirs is a business that has grown in size and stature to become a leader in its field and one of the top companies in the North West, so it’s a good fit for us and I know our players will make them proud.”
Historically based in Sale, the Sharks home ground is now the AJ Bell Stadium, and they compete in the Aviva Premiership, having played in England’s top flight since 1994.
Together announced record results last year, with annual new lending at just under £1.1 billion and a current loan book of over £2 billion. The business created 126 new jobs last year and is continuing to grow, with ambitious plans for the future.
