Pop-up ramen bar coming to Islington this month
Chef Adam Rawson is teaming up with Islington’s Borough Wines & Beers to launch a pop-up ramen bar.
Running for two weeks, #Rawmen will serve a three-course set menu inspired by dishes Adam sampled during recent travels around Japan.
Guests will have the option two starters, including chicken karaage with yuzu mayonnaise, followed by a choice of hakata ramen or shoyu miso ramen, both of which are served with preserved beansprouts and pickled mustard green and sesame.
The meal will end with a milk cheesecake featuring Japanese sansho pepper.
Borough Wines was founded on Borough Market in 2002 by Muriel Chatel, who used the business as a way to make the wines from her family’s vineyard available to British drinkers. Today, it is co-owned by Muriel and business partner Corinna Pyke.
The firm operates across a network of eight shops and its ecommerce site, working directly with small producers to source the majority of its range.
#Rawmen will launch later this month (April 20).
