The fissara software platform enables businesses to manage people, processes, stocks and schedules

Wythenshawe tech firm fissara secures £200k Chinese investment

Manchester software company fissara has secured six-figure backing through the UK’s government’s Chinese investment programme.

fissara will use the £200k boost from the UK Tier 1 initiative to further develop its field force management software and create two jobs, bringing its team to 12.

The company said it plans to undertake a further recruitment drive later this year at its new HQ in Wythenshawe.

The fissara software platform enables businesses to manage people, processes, stocks and schedules as they look to improve efficiency and productivity, make environmental savings, slash costs and improve customer service.

Two new pilot projects for the software are due to begin with firms operating at different ends of the energy sector.

The first is with South Wales-based CM Utilities, which will use fissara to support its service engineers. The second, fissara said, is with one the world’s largest manufacturers of pipes for the telecoms, gas, water and wastewater sectors.

Jon Holltum, director of fissara, said: “We are at an important point of being able to achieve rapid growth and this investment will help us to recruit more skilled people which will drive fissara forward.

“Word is spreading about how fissara can transform businesses, especially those which rely heavily on maintenance and service and we are having to expand our sales and marketing team to cope with the increase in enquiries from both the UK and now also overseas.”

He added: “We have been asked to look at delivering projects in the Middle East and China so this investment comes at a pivotal time for the company.”
