David Wilson Homes acquires 16.5 acre development site in Silsden
A 16.5 acre greenfield development site on Belton Road, Silsden, West Yorkshire, has been acquired by David Wilson Homes.
The housebuilder has outline planning to deliver up to 190 residential houses on the site.
Acting on behalf of Countryside Properties UK, the Residential Development team at CBRE Manchester completed the sale of the development site.
The site was purchased unconditionally based on the outline planning consent.
Located on Belton Road, the development is situated to the south of Silsden, bordering the Yorkshire Dales and is well connected to Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley.
Steeton and Silsden railway station is also a 15-minute walk south from Belton Road, with direct trains to both Bradford and Leeds city centre in just over half an hour.
Steven Verity, CBRE’s Northern Head of UK Development and Residential Capital Markets, said: “We are delighted to secure the sale of this substantial greenfield development opportunity to Barratt David Wilson Homes.
“The residential scheme will bring considerable investment to the area and includes 20 per cent affordable housing in a highly sought after picturesque commuter town.”
