Healthcare firm Kare Plus to create 200 jobs in Southport

Healthcare company Kare Plus is creating 200 jobs in Southport after securing an office in the town.

The firm, a provider of nursing recruitment and support services for private healthcare settings, said the roles available will be split across the residential homecare and private sectors.

Kare Plus’ new 1,400 sq ft base at 31-33 Hoghton Street will provide space for training, recruitment services and the administration of carers in the community.

Jo Boardman, the managing director of the company’s Southport and Blackpool branches, said: “Kare Plus is renowned for being the caring company and that status is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s training staff, liaising with key partners or ensuring residents in the community are supported the way we would want to be cared for ourselves.

“We saw Southport as having huge potential because there are very few care providers in the area able to offer this level of service all under one roof.”

Jo added: “Armed with premises in a high-footfall area, we are in a strong position to future-proof the company’s infrastructure and we are looking forward to future growth.”

North West law firm Birchall Blackburn Law’s commercial property team advised Kare Plus on the lease of the office premises. Graham Bowling, of Southport-based Fitton Estates, was the property agent.

The head of commercial property at Birchall Blackburn Law, partner Tony Coates, commented: “This lease required a quick turnaround and we are proud to have delivered on all levels. It’s pleasing to see such an integrated service launch in Southport and the new premises will allow Kare Plus to continue to develop and grow within the care service sector.

“Southport benefits from a healthy commercial property market.”

He added: “We offer key support for local businesses to grow due to our long-established expertise in this area and it’s clear that there is a real demand for this type of legal provision.”
