Wynyard Park plans more grand design homes

Demand is so high for plots to design and build dream homes at the exclusive Wynyard Park housing development on Teesside that a new area of self-build plots is to be released ahead of schedule.

The owner of the site has accelerated the submission of plans for an area to be called The Lyndhurst following the popularity of its previous schemes on the new Wynyard Park estate that is adjacent to Wynyard Village.

If approved, thirteen plots will be released for sale over the Easter weekend allowing people to design and build their own house on an exclusive development on a small pocket of land within the secluded woodland setting of the Wynyard Park site.

Matt Johnson, Wynyard Park’s Development Director, said: “When we originally decided to include areas for self-build as part of the masterplan we were confident that they would be popular as it is a highly desirable and sought-after location. This certainly proved to be the case as the first two developments have sold out from plan and we only have the final phase of the Wellington Gardens scheme left available.

“The new plots on Lyndhurst offer new opportunities. Buyers are telling us that they are attracted by the chance to create a home that is unique and designed exactly to suit them, rather than one designed as part of an overall housing development.

“Many people who visited the marketing suite at Wynyard Park have been surprised at how achievable it is to build their own home, as well as the increased return on investment that it offers in the long run.”

The Wynyard Park development, which is situated between Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees and is accessed via entrances on the A689 between the A19 and the A1, is owned and managed by Wynyard Park, the company behind the success of the adjacent Wynyard Business Park and other major schemes across the UK.

Matt added: “We have the same focus on delivering quality for the Wynyard Park housing development. Everything is completed to the highest standards and there is a strict design code throughout the development.

“From our concierge service for residents to the bespoke cast-iron street signs and woodland-style wrappings on the telecoms boxes on site, we are focusing on the details that make a difference.”

If approved, self-build plots at Lyndhurst will go on sale on Friday 14th April starting at £300,000. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lyndhurst has been designed to provide an exclusive development where people can design and build their own uniquely created homes. Surrounded by the Wynyard Park woodland, the entrance to the development is via an access-controlled system offering a high degree of privacy and security for residents.
