Rock and roll bar Kuckoo opens its doors in Sheffield city centre

Rock and roll cocktail bar, Kuckoo, officially opened in Sheffield city centre on Wednesday (12th April 2017).

The new 220 sq. m venue, which underwent a complete renovation, is located on Leopold Square, just off West Street.

The North West-based Kuckoo brand has two other bars in Preston and Chester and another set to open in Knutsford in summer 2017.

Kuckoo in Sheffield boasts a menu which features 65 cocktails. Revellers can also enjoy a music mix on the playlist of indie rock and roll favourites from various eras - with tracks from Elvis and The Beatles to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Stone Roses and The Strokes.

The Kuckoo interior has an ‘Onyx’ style bar as its centrepiece with matching Onyx stone islands and bar stools.

The Onyx stone is a modern bar top and fascia, which is backlit in red. The newly refurbished Kuckoo in Sheffield also includes leather and velvet seating areas, contemporary washrooms, a black, granite floor with a sparkle effect and gold framed photographs of rock and roll legends on the walls.

“All our bartenders are passionate about their jobs – we have a manager-less system and for every bartender, this is their career and they are paid a salary and trained to the highest of standards to ensure our guests can enjoy a really good drink, made with care and commitment.

“The music, of course, is equally a passion of ours, and guests can expect to be singing and dancing along with the bar staff when those classics come on!”

Kuckoo is open seven days a week from 5pm (serving until 1am on Fridays and 2am Saturdays).

The Kuckoo brand was first founded in 2010 when Kuckoo in Preston was launched. Kuckoo in Chester opened its doors in 2013, and a Knutsford site is set to open in summer 2017.
