Liverpool Ladies sign first ever shirt sponsorship deal
Liverpool Ladies FC have secured their first ever shirt sponsorship deal.
The club today (April 19) announced a three-year front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Avon, the international cosmetics company.
According to Liverpool Ladies, the agreement marks the first time a female-focused brand has backed a top-tier women’s football team in the UK.
In addition to appearing on the club’s shirts, Avon has also become Liverpool Ladies’ principal partner and official ladies’ beauty partner.
To date, the club have shared sponsorship with their male counterpart Liverpool FC, wearing insurance firm Standard Chartered’s logo on their kit.
Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer of Liverpool FC, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Avon to the Liverpool Ladies FC family as their first principal partner.
“Avon is an iconic women’s brand with a rich history and shares the same core values as Liverpool Ladies Football Club.”
He added: “We are looking forward to a fruitful partnership that will help bring women’s football to the top of the agenda.”
The Avon deal comes into effect April 23.
